This app uses privacy-first analytics to understand whether the map is useful, which planning tools people use, and where the experience needs work.
Analytics
Vercel Web Analytics records aggregated page views, referrers, device information, and approximate geography. The app also sends curated custom events for actions like onboarding choices, filter changes, month changes, selected trips, selected trip variants, feedback opens/submissions, and broad time-on-page milestones.
What is not tracked
The app does not use analytics cookies, persistent user IDs, fingerprinting, session replay, precise location tracking, or raw search query tracking. Feedback text is never sent to analytics.
Map tiles
The basemap is loaded from MapTiler using OpenStreetMap-derived map data. Map tile providers may receive technical request information needed to serve map tiles, such as IP address, browser details, and requested tile URLs.
Feedback
If you submit feedback from the map or a trip detail page, the feedback text, selected context, and optional follow-up email are sent by email to the app owner. This is separate from analytics and is only used to improve the travel data and experience.
